Green Awareness
Certification:
There will be a Green Awareness
Certification class and test available, in March. This is an EPA
recognized certification. While this is not a
LEED certification, LEED building ratings are part of the
class. It will meet twice a week for two weeks. Book $25/ Test
$25 / Class is free.

MED-Gas Class / Rigging Certification:
The Medical Gas and Rigging
Certification classes will be run when we get enough members
interested. Anyone interested in taking one of these classes
needs to talk directly to

UA STAR Tests:
The preparation class for the UA STAR
HVAC will be offered on March 22, 24, and 25th, from 5
PM to 8 PM. The test will be given on March 30th. You
MUST pay for your test by the first night of class. The cost is
$128. The JATC will reimburse you when you pass.

M.U.S.T. Safety Modules
Monday or Thursday 3:30 pm to 8:00
pm, or call to be registered and do them at home.
OSHA 10:
We have discovered a
place on-line where it only costs $18 to complete your OSHA 10
requirements, and you can do it at home. Check it out at
http://www.ualocal23.org.
If you are unemployed, call Larry Giroux to see how you can be
reimbursed for this class, or take it at the Training Center and
we will pay for it.
OSHA 30:
Give Larry Giroux a call, if you are interested in a OSHA 30 class
beginning near the end of March, 2010.
WELDING
DAY CLASSES are available for
unemployed members of Pipefitters Local #636. These classes will
take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. Classes begin at 7 AM and
will continue through to 4 PM. The cost of the class is a
commitment to show up and work. Regular night welding runs from 4
pm to 8 pm on Mondays, and Thursdays. Cost is $50 for 40 hours,
these classes are free if you are laid off.
The Downhill classes will be running
continuously. Send your money in so that you can get on the
waiting list. The cost is $75 and it takes 6 Saturdays, at 8
hours per day.
